Reading for personal growth
All previous year of 2015 I was reading a lot and kept a list of books I read and sometimes even wrote something like short reviews about them. Actually, the idea was to count how many books I read and I suppose I came to my personal record finishing the year with surprising 72 books on my list. But I realize it was a bit of cheating because I really adore rereading, so hardly three quarters of the books read in 2015 were new for me. And, disappointing enough, only 4 books from these 72 were in English. I work with this language very close because I'm a teacher of English and I see that I always need to maintain my level of knowledge and I consider it vital to prove my qialification to be a good spesialist in what I do.
So, a new reading plan in 2016 is the following - 1 English book, then 1 Russian and so on - Russian books come as a reward that I managed to read in English, because I notice that reading in English is still slower than in Russian and I sometimes need more motivation to be able to read on a regular basis. And, of cause, reviews will appear as they used to be last year, bacause I try to choose thought-provoking books and share my opinion caused by them with people who are interested in reading the way I am. And it'd be perfect to write reviews also in English in order to be fully involved in the atmosphere of the language.
Wish me good luck!
