Make a plan every working day morning.
In my thesis writing, there are lot's of different sub tasks and often I get lost not knowing what to do first, what to do quickly and what in-debth ... or what to do at all. Sometimes, it all seems like a huge mountain that I have to scale somehow. It's overwhelming. I've always made plans, but most of them were rather wishes than realistic. So, my time management skills still can improve. For helping myself with that, I'll do two things: First, I'll set up a realistic plan for this whole last year of thesis writing. Second is, that each morning I will make a schedule for the day.
The goal is to make a plan every morning during the week (Monday till Friday). The goal is not to keep to that plan nor even to work it all off. Only to make this plan, nothing more and nothing less. This plan should be ...
- ... the first thing to do after arriving at my working place (no E-Mails before, no newspaper reading)
- ... realistic (be gentle with myself, plan breaks, consider tiredness, stress and disfavours)
- ... pragmatic (not everything that could be done, should be done)
- ... bounded to my working hours (no work after 18 o'clock)
I consider this goal accomplished, when I manage to make a plan on 75 of the following 90 days.
Критерий завершения
I made a schedule on 75 of 90 days (success) OR I missed to make a schedule on more than 15 days (fail)
Личные ресурсы
I can and have to organise my time myself. Devoting five minutes every morning won't be any problem.
Экологичность цели
My work will be more predictable, so I will have a less stressful everyday life. Supervisor will be happy. As my stress level will decrease, my mood will improve. :) My boyfriend and friends will like this.
