"History of Rock" from University of Rochester

Еще со времен своего непростого пубертатного возраста, когда в моде были различные субкультуры, меня интересовали не "Малинки-малинки" и не "Я дороже золота". Я была приверженкой готического направления, считала себя брутальной девчонкой, посещавшей местные рок-концерты (да что скрывать, до сих пор люблю это дело), красившей ногти в черный цвет, воевавшей с родителями по поводу ошейников с шипами и колготок в сетку.

Сейчас уже прошло достаточно времени, благо, меня отпустило. :D Однако продолжаю любить черный цвет, готическую архитектуру и хорошие рок-группы. По этой причине решила пройти обучение на курсе у профессора Рочестерского университета – Джона Ковача (John Covach). Его курс называется "History of rock", где будут разбираться фундаментальные составляющие американского и британского рок-движения.

Курс состоит из 2х частей:

  1. 1900-1969 годы. Музыка исполнителей: Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry, Phil Spector, Bob Dylan, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Cream and etc.
  2. 1970-1990 годы. Исполнители: Led Zeppelin, the Allman Brothers, Carole King, Bob Marley, the Sex Pistols, Donna Summer, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Prince, Metallica, Run-DMC, and Nirvana and etc.

Ставить четкие сроки не буду, сами понимаете, насыщенная программа.

Пройден курс за 15 недель, сданы 2 финальных экзамена.
