Welcome to the Advanced Content and Social Tactics to Optimize SEO course from the University of California Davis Extension. This is the fifth course within the SEO Specialization and I hope you are ready to continue your journey as I am excited to help you meet your learning goals.

This course will feel different than the ones you have learned thus far as you will fully leverage content marketing and social media to optimize a website. This course includes four modules, with each module containing a set of lecture videos, a quiz, and suggested activities in the form of discussion prompts to engage with your fellow learners.

The first module will focus on the Content Marketing Ecosystem and help you the mechanics of how the ecosystem works and how content marketing and social media impact SEO. The second module dives deeper into Social Media Marketing and how you can use it to develop reputation and visibility, which ultimately helps with SEO. Influencer Marketing, is the third module, and we will examine the role it plays in driving reputation and visibility. In our final module, Creating World Class Content, I will help you answer the question, “Why world class content is a must?” You will be able to identify world class content and be able to create it yourself.

I recommend taking a few minutes to explore the course site, review the material we’ll cover each week, and preview the suggested assignments you’ll need to complete to get the most out of this learning experience.
