day 1 boat to lodge
day 2 acclimation to forest
day 3 camping
day 4 return to lodge

What I recommend for day 2 is hiking from the lodge, into the varzea forest. You could either do a day long hike, perhaps combine with some wildlife observation, right now from the main lodge we can easily find pygmy marmosets, owl monkeys and see the mating dances of the wire-tailed manakins. Or you could also choose half day hike and half day on the canopy ziplines, which are located 1 hour hike from the lodge. Then you can also do a short evening hike after dinner, weather permitting.

The morning of day 3 we must first go by boat 2 hours to reach a trail head in terra firme forest—the best forest to camp and learn some jungle survival because of the diversity of plants. En route you will most likely see woolly monkeys, maybe more. Then from trail head hiking into the forest interior, learning, also see some wildlife in the forest, such as poison dart frogs, if you are very adventurous you can crawl through the “bat cave” there. Then night 3 camping.

Day 4 morning hiking and learning in terra firme forest. After lunch hike back to the trail head and boat back to the lodge, sleeping in lodge night 4.

Day 5 morning an excursion, I would recommend for something different, exciting, canoe in flooded forest, around giant ficus trees, look for wildlife. Or if you like culture, are tired from hiking, visit to native village. After lunch is boat to Iquitos.
