To master Data Structures and Algorithms & clear Coding Interviews

Why this Goal?

As I'm approaching my third year, I am coming closer to my career building phase. Competition will increase so will my hard work. I don't want to be just a Software Developer at XYZ Company. I want to achieve the best I could i.e. Software Engineer. I want to work in a reputed organisation on a reputed position. The College phase has given me the chance to make my fortune, myself.

Where do I wish to live?

I wish to travel (and work) in specifically Germany or Canada. I would get a better atmosphere, better work culture and make good friends. I would be comfortable with my own country also but what I wish to emphasize on is that I live my life happily.

What kind of work I wish to do?

Ummm... this is a hard question for me as of now. but, I want to be a Software Engineer and have a good life. However, opinions change as we grow up. So, I'm ready for any change.

Survival Tips

I would suggest a complete rest from everything for 2days. Go out, walk, listen music, do whatever expect going back to these things again for 2 days.
After that get back to everything. This helps me

(14-04-21)Unless you make some extraordinary projects there is no escape from ds algo..it is mandatory in interviews.. you will have to solve around 500-600 problems to become confident at it.. if you can manage along with internship then only do it .. otherwise focus on ds algo ..

(14-04-21) I agree , that’s why in my personal opinion practicing more and more interview questions is more important than doing CP

CP mai I only do codechef (14-04-21)Because I know many cases where someone didn’t even do CP at all but did like 2000+ interview DSA questions + Dev and other stuff and now they’re placed in top companies

(14-04-21)i guess they might fail to identify the pattern ....or even if they do they may not able to code the variation of such problem .....or may be the speed ..... or lastly may be luck as the company mostly select the top 20-30 for interview

(14-04-2021)i have given online coding round for more then 20+ product based company (codenation ,swiggy,oyo,razorpay,sap and many more) they simply ask the variation of the standard question most common question among them where from DP(Knapsack 0/1 ,unbounded) pattern LIS based grid based and LCS based ..... and some them are from Sliding window based also ....i hope u got ur answer :)

(25-09-20) i should not feel sad if i am not getting much recognition of joy in between as expected. this all is normal and a lot of pressure is applied while turning diamond into gold. get ready for all prblems in life.
PBC's require perfectionism in DSA and CP. that's where my focus is on inspite of anything that comes across.

ADOBE EMPLOYEE: "First of all there is no such thing as tier-1 or tier-3 college passout in the industry, once you gain 2-3 years of work ex then you'll be gauged based on your skill set rather than college brand, so instead of thinking about your college start developing skills that will help you get into top product companies. Start working towards gaining expertise in just ONE programming language based on your interest, it could be Java, python, Js etc. it could be any language, but I'd suggest pick up one & master it. Then start learning Data structures & Algorithms, join a relevant course on coursera/edx or geeksforgeeks. Along with these learnings start solving questions on any ONE competitive programming platform, it could be codechef, geeksforgeeks etc. the idea is to focus on ONE platform only. This entire path may take you 6 months to 1 year to become proficient, depending upon your zeal to learn. I hope this helps, feel free to ask any relevant question that you may have All the best!"
