Career & Work

Become Junior .NET developer

At secondary school I made up my mind to become a programmer after passing a short test that targeted my skills corresponding to the existing types of jobs the person could do.

I tried to begin my journey making the first steps on the tech pathway in the 7th grade. After watching a short video about the most popular programming languages of the world, I began to study C by watching videos on YouTube. But it ended up when I encountered the topic which I wasn't able to handle even when I entered 10th grade: functions :)

Yes, I came back to study programming in the 9th grade after recognising my sustainability and potential by standing face-to-face with the worst enemy of mine: lack of knowledge that prevents me from learning the basics, the most simple things which are the foundation to others. The same process continued to be up to the 11th grade when our teacher decided us to study seriously. That was the stage in my life when I successfully consumed the basics of HTML, CSS and JS on par with improving my English.

The passing of exams at the end of secondary school was really hard for me because I had plenty of psychological issues that interfered in my world's perception and behaviour so I didn't display my full strength at that moment. So, I barely could enter the desired specialty on contract (the amount of points I got as the average of my exams was 178, 4 while the last person who went on budget had above 193, besides I managed to become the student of that place by an accident: the administration added 6 places in advance for students).

The studying at university was much harder than at the school since I didn't have enough knowledge and courage to study well, besides I was forced to be guided by the strictest professor of the Basics of programming subject (after the end of the first course from the primary capacity in 170 people left only 140) so I almost was expelled from the university passing the exam on the first semester from the 3rd attempt.

The second semester wasn't as hard as the last one so I managed to get better mark than before but it is not as simple as it could be imagined. At the end of the first semester I had the opportunity to enroll on the .NET pre-Junior external course organized by EPAM company.

My first attempt in unleashing my hidden potential successfully failed but I got the foundation I needed in to complete my first coursework developing the "Last card" game by using Unity.

And now, after seizing so much, I am able to become stronger doing this step-by-step and trying to exceed my limits. I spent all the summer trying to study as much as I can: Entity Framework, HTML, CSS, JS, MS SQL, ASP.NET Core and the other minor stuff.

I don't want to give up despite the worst of things I could face, despite the fact that live in Ukraine (the WAR is acting recklessly) and despite my psychological restrictions that I have to comprehend as fast as I can

 Goal Accomplishment Criteria

Getting my first work as a developer

 Personal resources

I am able to devote my goal the needed amount of time, search for some information because the most things that I suppose to achieve myself are written in books or known by others, I want to study harder and harder using the Internet as the most most powerful source of knowledge and opportunities and cultivate my OWN skills following by the existed patterns throughout all 3000 worlds

  1. Study Design patterns and Architecture

In order to study ASP.NET Core I have to learn something about that

  2. Study ASP.NET Core

In order to study ASP.NET Core I have to complete practice tasks on a course of company and read book "ASP.NET Core in action"

  3. Study Angular

It's good for me to do that
