Until the of this year I must be able to use ROS and Gazebo professionally. Those skills will increase my chance of getting PhD.

Learn Linux
Since I will be working in Linux environment I need to learn one of the Linux-like OS. For that purpose I chose Ubuntu 14LTS.

ROS comes first. I will read online tutorials and write real applications for the robots. I will also read book about ROS.
