Speak Spanish
Now I'd like to develop a habit to devote at least 1 hour to learn Spanish.
Here is my plans and rules.
Rule 1. Learning Spanish not less than 1 hour per day, but regularly every day. As I’m now taking graduate level classes in Economics and involving in an absolutely amazing project (which hopefully you will see very very soon) I don’t have much spare time. So, I oblige myself to devote at least 1 hour per day; also to use all my time when I’m walking to campus, waiting in a line, when I “desire” and “need” to go to Facebook or other killers of my time.
Rule 2. In my experience, starting to learn a language by memorizing the rules and grammar points has triggered my progress in English. Even these days, I’m not fluent in English and make many mistakes. However, after making my learning process more interactive, the results of my progress was plainly visible. So, in the 30 days, I will not read and memorize a big grammar book. Instead, I will focus on learning a language more naturally.
Rule 3. Don’t let laziness mess me up!
Materials ( I read a couple of blogs and forums to get some good ideas and based on that recommendations I made a list of materials).
1. Using Mi Vida Loca by BBC as a main required material. This is an interactive video drama and Spanish course. As it says on the website “Mi Vida Loca takes you on an intrigue mystery adventure to Madrid and beyond in 22 episodes, 10 min each, covering basic learning points for Spanish absolute beginners.” So far, I liked the first episode, hopefully will continue working on it. The link is here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/languages/spanish/mividaloca/syllabus.shtml
2. Using a Russian platform “Polyglot.” This website can be found here: http://16polyglot.ru/spanish Many think that this set of Spanish lessons are designed great than it’s German and other versions. I also liked the first episode, and understood almost everything. That’s cool! :)
3. Using Duolingo on https://www.duolingo.com as a practice material. As I enjoy competitions and could addict to something for a very long time like Brain Wars on http://translimit.co.jp/services/brainwars.html , I found it fun to use it. And sometimes sing or listen to music from http://es.lyrsense.comin Spanish with scripts and translations.
Goal Accomplishment Criteria
Speak Spanish a little bit and know the basics of language
Personal resources
Time, WEBSITES
Goal ecological compatibility
I'd like to learn one more language, so I could open a new world for me. This also helps me to improve my memory and memory work. In near future I'd like to live for a short term period in Spanish speaking country.
